PRODUCTION

Before harvest, all grapes are analyzed while still in the vineyard, this process is made through an instrument called saccharometer which measures the amount of sugar in the grapes.
Grape producers from more than 18 counties in the “Serra Gaucha” region hand in their grapes to Campo Largo modern collecting facility, in the city of Sao Marcos .
A modern collecting facility, located in the city of Sao Marcos-RS , allows a quick and  safe vinification process. In this stage the amount of sugar in the grapes is measured, a key factor to ensure a good quality wine
After arriving, grapes are crushed in an horizontal crusher. A mechanical device known as crusher/destemmer is used, since the stems of the grapes have a relatively high tannin content, they are usually removed beforehand
Fermentation is the transformation of sugar into alcohol a process essential to the quality of wine. Fermentation equipments with automatic swirling devices and temperature-controlled belts add up for the color and temperature control.
The stocking of wine is made in “vessels” made of stainless steel, some of them can hold up to 1,5 million litersc

          

Prepared winemakers in a modern, well-equipped laboratory, where all necessary quality tests are applied, monitor each stage of the Campo Largo process. A water treatment facility allows Vinicola Campo Largo an environmentally correct disposal of the water used in the process.

Vinicola Campo Largo in the city of Campo Largo , state of Parana, is the bottling center, commercial and distribution core of the company. Settled in a 17.000 square meters area, it is one of the most modern industrial facilities in Brazil .

Transportation of the wine from Sao Marcos to the city of Campo Largo is made  by means of appropriately equipped tank trucks, each one of them pulling a stainless steel tank, which preserves the temperature and qualities of the product.

Bottling is a special breath taking process. Each month thousands of white, red, sparkling, rose, cooler or grape juice bottles are filled and labeled.
